A Question for YOU

Today my post is of a completely different nature.

I need your help.

I need advice!

I have enjoyed taking pictures for this blog. It is an extra pleasure when an image turns out really well. For a some pictures I have asked a talented local photographer for help and LOVED the images she created.

Today my challenge is that the vegetable recipe I have made is absolutely delicious but I don’t think the picture is attractive at all. I need help to make it look more appealing.

I am looking for ideas about background, color, plate, bowl, any other props, garnishes that might enhance it.

The dish is made from Red Cabbage, a little bacon, onion, green apple and various spices like: bay leaves, peppercorns, Sea Salt, Juniper Berries and whole cloves.

I will post the image here and hope you have ideas about what I can do to enhance it and make it look more appealing. Please leave your ideas in the comment section below.

I will post the recipe soon.

Thank you so much for any help!

  1. I love all your recipes and other articles on your blog. I agree, this picture is a little hard to guess what it is just looking, and I’m not sure it’s as appealing as many of your others. I’m sure it’s delicious. Is there a way to add more color, even as garnishment, or create a different shape? I look forward to what you come up with eventually.

It needs to stand out. Too much texture on a patterned background.
