Are there days when you come home exhausted and your feet are aching so badly that all you want to do is to sit down and give those busy feet a little break.
When my feet are achy, I have found that a little self-pampering goes a long way to put the pep back into my step.
My mint-scented foot scrub is perfect for the job.
Minty Foot Scrub is not only great when feet are achy but also a very effective treatment for “summer feet”. In summer, when I walk barefoot and wear flip-flops, my feet tend to get rough around the edges. A little foot scrub makes them all nice and smooth again.
The best thing about Minty Foot Scrub is that it’s all natural, has no harmful chemicals, and you can save money by making it yourself. It has just three simple ingredients. The Epsom salt does wonders for rough skin and calloused spots and the oil is a real treat for dry skin. I chose to add fresh mint leaves and essential oil. The fresh scent of mint lifts my spirit and the cooling sensations soothes my aching feet.

Minty Foot Scrub
- 1 cup Epsom Salt or white sugar
- 5 drops Peppermint Essential Oil*
- 1/2 cup fresh mint leaves (optional – if you don’t use fresh mint, increase essential oil, use 10 drops)
- About 2-4 Tbsp olive oil
Combine all dry ingredients in a bowl. Mix well, crushing the fresh leaves to release the oils. Add a little olive oil at a time until your foot scrub has the consistency of wet sand.
Wet your feet and apply a small amount of Minty Scrub. Massage your feet, focusing on calluses and tough skin. Let it sit for a minute, then rinse, dry and follow with a good moisturizer. Wear socks for a few hours to soak in all the moisture if possible.
Result: Perfectly smooth, pampered feet!
*I used:
I bought the Epsom salt at Walgreens. Just make sure it is pure Epsom Salt.
Together we will create other body-care products as well. I will aim to supply you with links to the various oils and other products I use.
This is great! I need to make it!

I love Stress Away and Valor together! Have you tried those?

I have Stress Away and love it. I’ve not thought about adding it to some of my recipes. That might be great. I’ve not tried Valor.
